Each Visa applicant is requested to come in person and prepare original documents as prescribed below:

One applicant form No.1-C for each applicant must be filled in properly and signed by the applicant in original. (Visa form is in PDF format and you will need Adobe Acrobat Reader for viewing/printing it).
Photograph: One Recent and Latest photograph of applicant, size 45mm x 35mm.

NOTE:
- From early May 2024, the Consulate-General of Japan in Karachi has handed over the VISA applications submission and inquiries to VFS Global/Gerry's VISA. Please note that the Consulate-General of Japan in Karachi will no longer accept VISA applications directly, except for Diplomatic and Official VISAs.
- Residents of Sindh & Balochistan may apply for a Japanese VISA at the VISA Application Center in Karachi without prior appointment (https://visa.vfsglobal.com/pak/en/jpn/news/japan-karachi-centre)
- Should a visa be refused, its reason will never be given. However, a visa application can be submitted again six months after the refusal.
