1 Visa Application and Inquiries
Regarding visa applications submission and inquiries, please contact VFS Global / Gerry’s Visa. The Consulate does not accept any visa applications directly (except for Diplomatic and Official passports (*)).
For visa application (documents required for visa application, processing period, etc.), please contact the VFS Global / Gerry’s Visa.
Residents of Sindh and Balochistan may apply for a Japanese VISA at the VISA Application Center in Karachi without prior appointment (https://visa.vfsglobal.com/pak/en/jpn/news/japan-karachi-centre).

* VISA on Diplomatic and Official passports
In principle, the Consulate desk accepts Diplomatic passports (all VISA categories) and Official passports (only official visits). For other categories, application shall be made via VFS / Gerry’s Visa. It is necessary to share roles between VFS / Gerry’s Visa and the Consulate for the efficient and swift visa issuance.
Please note that in order to ensure impartiality, the Consulate does not accept any requests or favours for special treatment.

2 Time required for acquiring Visa
The standard processing time for a VISA application is minimum six working days (including the day of application submission at VFS Global / Gerry's VISA).
However, in case of discrepancies and additional requirements, it may take anywhere between six working days to three months. Therefore, it is requested to thoroughly check your documents and travel timeline before application.
