Japan provides a grant to Kuchlak Welfare Society of an amount of US$ 50,152 for “The Project for the Provision of Ambulance and Medical Equipment in Kuchlak, Quetta District”
The Government of Japan extended a grant of US$ 50,152 to Kuchlak Welfare Society, Quetta for “The Project for the Provision of Ambulance and Medical Equipment in Kuchlak, Quetta District” under the Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects (GGP).
The grant contract was signed on March 8, 2024, between the Consul-General of Japan, Mr. HATTORI Masaru and the Chairman of Kuchlak Welfare Society, Quetta, Mr. Malik Abdul Rashid Kakar.
The grant has been provided by the government and people of Japan for the procurement of ambulance and medical equipment such as X-ray, Echo Cardic, ECG, ultrasound, CBC machines and Chemistry Analyzer for the clinic of the Kuchlak Welfare Society.
The Kuchlak Welfare Society was established in 2001 and has been providing comprehensive and free treatment and care in Kuchlak area in Quetta since 2001, with a focus on the underprivileged. Kuchlak is located along highways, where frequent road accidents occur.
The grant will enable vulnerable patients to receive state-of-the-art medical treatment by replacing outdated machines, and the ambulance service will be able to provide faster treatment for patients involved in road accidents.
Speaking on the occasion, Consul-General Mr. HATTORI expressed his appreciation for the work being undertaken by organizations such as Kuchlak Welfare Society for the fulfillment of healthcare sector initiatives for vulnerable and underprivileged patients in Quetta. He hopes that grants for such projects serve the people of Pakistan for many years to come.
The Chairman of Kuchlak Welfare Society, Mr. Kakar echoed the Consul-General’s sentiments and personally extended gratitude on behalf of the philanthropic community in Quetta to the people of Japan for their continued support and friendship to improve the lives of Pakistan’s most vulnerable.
