Tuna Fillet Making Demonstration

On Sunday, 16 February, Consulate-General of Japan in Karachi held ”Tuna Fillet Making Demonstration” at the Japan Information and Culture Center in collaboration with Pakistan Japan Culture Association (PJCA).

Deputy Consul-General, Mr. Katsunori Ashida, who himself an expert Itamae (sushi chef), showcased his Japanese culinary skills with a step by step demonstration of slicing and preparing tuna fillets (sashimi).

Mr. Ashida’s aim for the event was to give people a chance to experience one of the most exquisite cuisine through demonstration and the guests were seen enjoying the fillets with wasabi and soy sauce taking second rounds and even more.
