Japanese Consul-General’s Official Visit to the interior Sindh
The Consul-General of Japan in Karachi, Mr Akira Ouchi made an official visit to Khairpur, Larkana and Sukkur District from November 10 to 11, 2014.
On November 10, 2014, Consul-General Mr. Ouchi delivered a lecture at Shah Abdul Latif University (SALU), Khairpur Campus to the students of
the Department of International Relations on Japan’s foreign policy. Around 100 students and faculty members attended the lecture. The audience
keenly listened to the Consul-General Mr. Ouchi’s lecture and a lively question and answer session ensued, in which audiences’ interests were mainly
Japan’s current foreign policies, Japan and Pakistan’s bilateral relations and people-to-people exchange.
Prof. Dr. Lutfullah Mangi, Pro-Vice Chancellor of SALU Shikarpur Campus, on behalf of Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Parveen Shah, expressed sincere gratitude
to Consul-General Mr. Ouchi for delivering very informative lecture in which students and faculty members of SALU were able to gain insightful and
comprehensive knowledge in regard to Japan’s foreign policy.
On November 11, 2014, Consul-General Mr. Ouchi met Mr. Nisar Ahmed Khuhro, Senior Minister for Education and Mr. Sain Raichio Mirani, DIG
Larkana. During the meetings, they exchanged views on topics of mutual interests and discussed the ways forward to strengthen the friendly relationship
between Japan and Pakistan.
Also on this occasion, Consul-General Mr. Ouchi visited the ancient historical sites: Mohenjo-daro and Kot Diji Fort.
